LEE, THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS <br /> OFFERED AND CARRIED OVER TO THE NEXT MEETING FOR CONSIDERATION: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE <br /> <br /> THAT 97,827.68 BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED FOR THE CITY'S <br /> <br /> SHARE OF THE COST OF UTILITY LINES IN MAPLE HILLS SUBDIVISION. <br /> <br /> MR. SCRIBNER STATED THAT HE WAS SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF THE A. O. SMITH COMPANY <br /> <br />AND REPORTED THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY WILL REQUIRE THE A. O. SMITH COMPANY TO <br />HAVE A 4~l AND AN 8~t TAP ON THE 10t~ EDNAM FOREST LINE OR A 10~ TAP. MR. BOWEN <br />STATED THAT IN CASE OF A SIHULTANEOUS FIRE AT A. O. SMITH AND AT FARM1NGTON OR <br />EDNAM~ WITH A 10l= TAP THERE WOULD BE NO WATER AVAILABLE BEYOND THE TAP AND HE <br />COULD NOT RECOHMEND A 10~ TAP ON THE 10n LINE. HE STATED THAT ALTHOUGH IT WOULD <br />BE EXTRA EXPENSE TO GO UNDER THE RAILROAD TRACK THAT A. O. SMITH COHPANY COULD <br />GET A ~0i~ TAP ON THE 12t~ LINE IN ROUTE 250. A MOTION BY Mr. LEE, SECONDED BY <br />MR. PONTON THAT A ~0~ CONNECTION NOT BE GRANTED UNLESS MADE ON THE ~H MAIN IN <br />ROUTE 250~ WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br /> <br /> ON MOTION BY MR. SCRIBNER~ SECONDED BY MR. LEE~ THE MAYOR WAS AUTHORIZED TO <br />EXECUTE CONTRACT BETWEEN EDNAM FOREST, A. O. SMITH COMPANY, FARMINGTON, INC. AND <br />THE CITY DEALING WITH A NEW TAP FROM THE OLD FARMINGTON 6~ LINE TO THE EDNAM <br />FOREST 10~: LINE WITH ABANDONMENT OF THE OLD 6~ LINE .EAST OF THE TAP. <br /> <br /> MR. JAMES H. BARKSDALE, ~R. ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND REQUESTED THAT CONSIDERATION <br />BE GIVEN TO PROVIDING SOME OVERNIGHT TRAILER PARKING SPACES AT MCINTIRE PARK. THIS <br />MATTER WAS TAKEN UNDER ADVISEHENT FOR FURTHER STUDY. <br /> <br />ON MOTION THE MEETING ADJOURNED. <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br />COUNC I L CHAMBER - FEBRUARY 17, 1964 <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON THIS DATE WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS <br /> <br />PRESENT: MR. HAGGERTY, MR. MOUNT~ MR. PONTON AND MR. SCRIBNER. ABSENT: ~R. LEE. <br /> THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF FEBRUARY 3, ~964 WERE READ AND APPROVED. <br /> <br /> A PUBLIC HEARING WAS HELD ON THIS DATE ON A PETITION TO REZONE A PARCEL OF <br />LAND' ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CABELL AVENUE. SEVERAL PEOPLE ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL <br />IN OPPOSITION TO THIS CHANGE. A COMMUNICATION WAS PRESENTED FROM THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION RECOMMENDING THAT THE ~EQUEST .BE DENIED. ON MOTION BY MR. SCRIBNER, <br />SECONDED BY ~R. PONTON, THE FOREGOING RECOMMENDATION WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br /> <br /> A PUBLIC HEARING WAS. ALSO HELD ON A PETITION TO REZONE THREE PARCELS OF LAND <br />FRONTING ON THE NORTH SIDE OF BARRACKS ROAD. MR. J. HARRY MICHAEL, JR. ADDRESSED <br />THE COUNCIL ON BEHALF OF THE PETITION AND STATED THAT HE BELIEVED HE WOULD SECURE <br />THE NECESSARY SIGNATURES RELEASING THE DEED RESTRICTIONS ON THE COOPER PROPERTY <br />WITHIN A FEW DAYS. AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING <br /> <br />THE DISTRICT MAP INCORPORATED IN SECTION 4 OF ARTICLE III OF APPENDIX II OF THE <br /> <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1959, BY THE REZONING OF THREE PARCELS OF LAND <br /> <br />FRONTING ON THE NORTH SIDE OF BARRACKS ROAD", WAS OFFERED BY MR.
