SCRIBNER, ABSENT: MR, RENMOLDS. <br /> <br /> THE MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS OF OCTOBER 5~ 1964, OCTOBER 12, 1954 AND OCTOBER <br />15, 1964 WERE READ AND APPROVED. <br /> <br /> REQUESTS FOR REZDNING ON STEWART STREET FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL TO B-OFFICE SHoP <br />AND J£FFERSON WOODS FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL TO R-] RESIDENTIAL WERE REFERRED TO THE <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION FOR RECOMMENDATION. <br /> <br /> A REQUEST FOR TAX £XEMPTION UNDER SECTION 91(£) OF THE LICENSE TAX ORDINANCE <br />FROM THE CHARLOTTESVILLE HKIRDRESSER~S GUILD WAS DENIED SINCE THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />RULED THAT IT NAS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR EXEMPTION FOR THE REASON REQUESTED, <br /> <br />THE FOLLOWING COMMUNICATION WAS PRESENTED AND ON MOTION BY MR. [. C. MEREDITH OF THE STATE <br />HEALTH DEPARTMENT RELATIVE TO USE OF THE NEW RIVANNA RIVER RESERVOIR <br />FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES. AS YOU KNOW THE STATE STATUTES PROVIDE*THAT <br />THE STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHALL HAVE COMPLETE SUPERVISION AND CONTROL <br />OVER ALL PUBLIC WATER SYSTEMS WITHIN THE STATE. <br /> <br /> tN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOREGOING LETTER~ I RESPECTFULLY RECOMMEND <br />THAT YDU ~D~PT A POLICY AND ADVISE THE PUBLIC THAT CONTROLLED FISHING <br />AND BOATING~ NOT.
