SCRIBNER~ SECONDED <br />BY MR. HAGGERTY~ THIS REQUEST WAS TABLED PENDING RECEIPT OF A DEVELOPMENT PLAN, <br /> <br /> A COMMUNICATION WAS PRESENTED FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING THAT THE <br /> <br />REQUEST TO REZONE TWO LOTS ON CEDAR HILL ROAD FROM R-1 RESIDENTIAL TO R-2 RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br />BE DENIED. THIS MATTER WAS CARRIED OVER TO A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD JUNE 7~ 1965 <br /> <br />AT'7:30 P. M. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE <br /> <br />OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE~ 1959~ ENTITLED tMOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC~ BY AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 18-1~ 18-9~ 18-22~ 18-24~ 18-28~ 18-32, 18-33~ 18-36~. 18-47~ 18'-50~ 18-107~ <br />18-110, 18-111~ 18-114~ 18-118~ 18-121~ 18-124~ 18-125~ 18-132~ 18-135~ 18-136~ 18-138~ <br />18-140~ 18-141~ 18-150~ 18-162, 18-168 AND 18-169 THEREOF AND ADDING THERET0 NEW SECTIONS <br /> <br />NUMBERED 18-22.1~ 18-32.1~ 18-37,1, 18-104.1"~ WAS OFFERED BY MR. SCRIBNER~ SECONDED BY <br /> <br />MR, RENNOLDS~ AND CARRIED OVER TO THE NEXT MEETING FOR CONSIDERATION. <br /> <br /> THERE WAS A DISCUSSION CONCERNING AMENDMENTS TO SECTIONS OF THE CODE DEALING WITH <br /> <br />THE STORAGE OF SMALL ARMS AMMUNITION. THE CITY ATTORNEY RECOMMENDED THAT ACTION BE <br /> <br />DEFERRED ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS UNTIL THE REPORT IS RECEIVED FROM THE STATE FIRE <br /> <br />MARSHALL CONCERNING THE STORAGE OF SMALL ARMS AMMUNITION AND EXPLOSIVES GENERALLY. <br /> <br /> ON MOTION BY MR, HAGGERTY~ SECONDED BY MR. RENNOLDS~ MR. THOMAS J. SCRIBNER, <br /> <br /> ABSENT: NONE. <br /> <br /> THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF MAY 17~ 1965 WERE READ AND APPROVED. <br /> <br /> A PUBLIC HEARING WAS HELD ON THIS DATE ON A REQUEST TO REZONE TWO LOTS ON CEDAR <br /> <br />HILL ROAD FROM R-1 RESIDENTIAL TO R-~ RESIDENTIAL. MR, DAVID L. ROBERTS ADDRESSED THE <br />COUNCIL IN SUPPORT OF THE PETITION. ON MOTION BY MR, SCRIBNER~ SECONDED B~ MR. PONTO'N~ <br />ACTION OF THIS REQUEST WAS POSTPONED UNTIL THE NEXT MEETING, <br /> <br /> MR. VENABLE MINOR ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND REQUESTED THAT THE MAYOR BE AUTHORIZED <br />TO EXECUTE DEED ABANDONING AND RELOCATING THE SEWER LINE TO SERVE CAMBRIDGE SQUARE <br />APARTMENTS~ AFTER APPROVAL BY THE CITY ATTORNEY AND CITY MANAGER. ON MOTION BY MR. <br />SCRIBNER~ SECONDED BY MR, RENNOLDS THE FOREGOING REQUEST ~AS APPROVED. <br /> <br /> DR, JOSEPH W, DOHERTY ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND PRESENTED THE FIRST PHASE OF A <br />DENTAL STUDY BY THE CHARLOTTESVILLE-ALBEMARLE DENTAL SOCIETY AS A MEASURE OF THE <br />EFFECTIVENESS OF FLUORIDATION. <br /> <br /> AN APPLICATION FOR CITY WATER TO SERVE BERKSHIRE APARTMENTS AT THE INTERSECTION <br /> <br />OF HYDRAULIC AND SOLOMON ROADS WAS REFERRED TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR RECOMMENDATION. <br /> <br /> ON MOTION BY MR.
