PRESTON COINER ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND REQUESTED THAT THE COUNCIL ADOPT <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE CUT OFF OF'TWO PASSENGER TRAINS BY THE C & 0 RAILWAY <br /> <br />COMPANY. MR. VOGT AND MR. HAGGERTY STATED THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO HEAR THE RAILWAY <br /> <br />COMPANY'S REASONS BEFORE' TAKING A STAND. <br /> <br /> A MOTION BY MR'. MOUNT~ SECONDED BY MR. RAYMOND LONG <br /> FOR UTILITIES TO SERVE THE PROPERTY LOCATED ON BARRACKS AND GEORGETOWN ROADS, <br /> SINCE THE HESSIAN HILLS CORPORATION HAS ACQUIRED THE PROPERTY. <br /> <br /> THE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE RETIREMENT FUND COMMISSION WAS PRESENTED AND ON MOTION <br /> <br /> BY MR. MOUNT~ SECONDED BY MR, JOHNSON; WAS ACCEPTED AND ORDERED FILED WITH THE MINUTES <br /> <br /> OF THIS MEETING, <br /> <br /> THE FOLLOWING REPORTS FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION WERE PRESENTED: <br /> 1. RECOMMENDING THAT THE REQUEST TO REZONE 2208 AND 22~0 FONTAINE AVENUE AND 108 <br /> <br /> LEwis STREET FRoM'R-2 TO B-2 BE DENIED. <br /> <br /> 2. RECOMMENDING THAT THE REQUEST TO REZONE ALL OF THE 2300 BLOCK OF FONTAINE AVENUE <br /> PLUS 2401 FONTAINE AVENUE AND PARCEL 71 ON LEWIS STREET FROM R-2 TO B-2 BE DENIED. <br /> 3o RECOMMENDING THAT THE REQUEST TO REZONE 110 THRU 115 MONTPELIER STREET FROM <br /> TO B-2 BE DENIED. <br /> <br /> 4. RECOMMENDING THAT THE REQUEST ~O REZONE A PARCEL OF LAND ADJACENT TO THE EXISTING <br /> B-1 ZONE ON EMMET STREET FROM R-t TO B-1 BE GRANTED. A PUBLIC HEARING WAS SET ON <br /> THESE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR HARCH 20~ 1967 AT 7:30 P. M. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS WERE ALSO PRESENTED RECOMMENDING THAT SECTION 19 OF"ARTICLE VI AND <br /> SECTION 35 OF ARTICLE X OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE BE AMENDED ADJUSTING THE AREA REGULATIONS <br /> IN R-3 AND B-3 DISTRICTS. THES:E ORD. INANCES WERE REFERRED BACK TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> FOR PUBLIC HEARING. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 20-10 ENTITLED <br /> 'DESIGNS AND PLANS; APPEAL' OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br /> 1965" WAS OFFERED BY MR.
