WE ALSO RECOMMEND THAT THE HOSPITAL INSURANCE-PREMIUM <br />FOR RETIRED EMPLOYEES BE PAID BY THE CITY. AT PRESENT HOSPITAL <br />INSURANCE IS FURNISHED THE EMPLOYEE AS LONG AS HE IS WORKING, BUT <br />HE IS REQUIRED TO PAY IT HIMSELF WHEN HE RETIRES. <br /> <br /> (FI. WE ALSO RECOMMEND THAT, IN ADDITION TO THE REGULAR <br />HOSPITAL INSURANCE NOW PROVIDED BY THE CiTY TO EACH EMPLOYEE~ <br />MAJOR MEDICAL INSURANCE BE ADDED AND PROVIDED TO EACH EMPLOYEE. <br />THE COST TO THE CITY OF THIS ADDITIONAL INSURANCE WILL BE 90;80 <br />PER MONTH FOR EACH EMPLOYEE AND IS NEEDED ESPECIALLY IN CASE OF <br />A LONG TERM OR MAJOR ILLNESS. <br /> <br /> (G). WE FURTHER RECOMMEND THAT THE LIFE INSURANCE PROGRAM BE <br />AMENDED SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT EMPLOYEES WHO EARN BETWEEN <br />AND 912,000..PER YEAR BE PROVIDED WITH 912,500. LIFE INSURANCE AND <br />THAT EMPLOYEES WHO EARN MORE THAN 912~000. PER YEAR BE PROVIDED <br />WITH 91)000. OF LIFE INSURANCE FOR EACH FULL ~1,000. OF ANNUAL <br />SALARY EARNED IN ADDITION To THE ~12,000o ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF <br />THE LIFE INSURANCE PROGRAM NOW IN EFFECT WOULD REMAIN. <br /> <br /> WE SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT THE FOREGOING AMENDMENTS TO THE C~TY'S <br />FRINGE BENEFIT PROGRAM FOR EMPLOYEES IS NECESSARY AT THiS TIME. <br />ATTACHED HERETO ARE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO SECTIONS 2-202, 2-208, 2-209, <br />2-210 AND 2-206 TO CARRY OUT RECOMMENDATIONS IN (A)~ (BI, AND (C) <br />ABOVE. <br /> <br /> RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED, <br /> B.
