2 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that <br />the sum of $181,000.00, received as a grant from the Virginia Department of Mines, <br />Minerals and Energy, is hereby appropriated to account 11-191-085167-50111 in the <br />Grants Fund to (i) offset the cost of establishing use of compressed natural gas (CNG), in <br />place of diesel, for replacement buses in the City's pupil transportation fleet; (ii) provide <br />required mechanics training; (iii) install time-fill refueling infrastructure in the main <br />school bus yard; and (iv) conduct outreach efforts. <br /> <br />b. APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />$7,362.77 - Reimbursement from QCC for Washington <br />Pool Staffing (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville has received $7,362.77 from the Quality <br />Community Council as reimbursement for Parks and Recreation staffing of the <br />concession stand at Washington Park Pool. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that $7,362.77 from Quality Community Council is hereby <br />appropriated to Parks and Recreation's Washington Park Pool division, account code 05- <br />172-072034-51101. <br /> <br />c. RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />Approving City Manager's Employment Agreement <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council for the City of Charlottesville that the <br />existing Employment Agreement between the City of Charlottesville and City Manager <br />Gary O'Connell, dated November 1, 2001 is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />Section 6 of the Agreement entitled "Salary" is amended to increase the base <br />annual salary of the City Manager by 3.5%, effective July 1, 2004. <br /> <br /> All other terms and conditions in the Employment Agreement not inconsistent <br />with this Resolution shall remain in full force and effect. The Mayor is authorized to <br />execute a revised version of the Agreement incorporating the change referenced in this <br />Resolution. <br /> <br />g. RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendments <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council in 2001 adopted an updated Comprehensive Plan for <br />the City of Charlottesville upon completion of the five-year review required by § 15.2- <br />2230 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended (hereinafter, the "Comprehensive <br />Plan"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as authorized by §34-27(a) of the City Code, the Director of <br />Neighborhood Developments Services has initiated a proposed amendment of Chapter 3 <br />of the Comprehensive Plan, to incorporate 2000 U.S. Census Data not available in 2001 <br />("Revised Chapter 3"); and <br /> <br /> <br />
