Dr. Brown proposed that Council meet at 6:30 p.m. on May l0th <br />to appoint the commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Schilling asked that the proposal be forwarded in writing. <br /> <br /> Mr. Caravati said he is not prone to rush into this and thinks we need to be very <br />deliberate on who we pick. He said he is not confident that the School Board should <br />forge ahead quickly. <br /> <br /> Dr. Brown said the advisory group will be charged to make recommendations <br />about the process. He said we could decide on May l0th that we do not have names for <br />the commission, but suggested that Council meet and if we find we are not ready to move <br />forward we can delay the process. <br /> <br /> Mr. Schilling said he understands Dr. Brown's enthusiasm, but he has just heard <br />about the proposal. He said he shares Mr. Caravati's hesitancy in rushing to make <br />appointments and feels it should be opened up for others to apply. <br /> <br />Dr. Brown said he thinks it would be irresponsible to drag our feet. <br /> <br />Council agreed to meet on May l0th to discuss the commission. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />President Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
