CLAIR AVE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE THAT 1,840.84 BE AND THE SAME IS <br />HEREBY APPROPRIATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOREGOING <br />RECOMMENDATION. <br />MR. R. A, SAUNDERS ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL AND REQUESTED PERMISSION TO <br />REQUEST 70 EXTEND <br />SEWER LINE OUTSIDE <br />CITY LIMITS.. <br />EXTEND THE FOREGOING PROPOSED SEWER LINE IN ST. CLAIR AVENUE FROM THE CITY <br />LIMITS TO SERVE SOME PROPERTY WHICH HE iS PLANNING TO DEVELOP JUST OUTSIDE <br />OF THE CITY. ON MOTION BY MR. TEBELL, SECONDED BY MR. WEINBERG, THIS REQUEST <br />WAS UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THE USUAL COUNTY SEWER <br />AGREEMENT MUST BE APPROVED AND EXECUTED FOR EACH CONNECTION ON THIS LINE. <br />A REPORT FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING THAT THE ZONING ON <br />MATTER RE: ZONING ON <br />MEADE AVE. PUBLIC <br />HEARING JUNE 21ST. <br />MEADE AVENUE BE CHANGED AS REQUESTED IN THE PETITION OF THEODORE L. BOGART <br />WAS PRESENTED. A MOTION BY MR. FORGES, SECONDED BY MR. WEINBERG THAT A <br />PUBLIC HEARING BE HELD ON THIS MATTER ON JUNE 21, 1954 AT 2:00 P. M, <br />WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br />MR. LOUIE SCRIBNER, MEMBER OF THE BUILDING CODE REVIEW BOARD, APPEARED <br />COUNQ,IL TO MEET <br />WITH BLDG. CODE REVIEW <br />BD. RE: CHANGES IN <br />BLDG. CODE. <br />BEFORE THE COUNCIL TO DISCUSS THE PROPOSED CHANGES IN THE CITY~S BUILDING CODE. <br />AFTER A BRIEF DISCUSSION, A MOTION BY MR. FORGES, SECONDED BY MR. DAVIS, THAT <br />A JOINT MEETING OF THE COUNCIL AND BUILDING CODE REVIEW BOARD BE HELD ON <br />MAY 12, 1954 AT 8:00 P. M. KELLY PALATINE AVENUE <br />THE MATTER OF AN ORDINANCE COVERING DOGS KNOWN OR SUSPECTED OF HAVING <br />MATTER RE: DOGS <br />CARRIED OVER <br />BITTEN SOMEONE WAS AGAIN CONSIDERED. AFTER A LENGTHY DISCUSSION, A MOTION BY <br />MR. TEBELL, SECONDED BY MR. WEINBERG, THAT THIS MATTER 8E CARRIED OVER TO THE <br />NEXT MEETING FOR CONSIDERATION WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br />THE PETITION FROM THE RESIDENTS OF RIYE'S STREET, PROTESTING THE RAISING <br />MATTER RE: HOGS <br />ORDINANCE RE: <br />INTERRUPTIBLE GAS RATE <br />CARRIED OVER <br />OF HOGS !N THAT VICINITY WAS AGAIN CONSIDERED. THE CITY MANAGER REPORTED THAT HE <br />AND THE CHIEF OF POLICE HAD INSPECTED THE HOG PENS IN QUESTION, AND THAT THEY <br />WERE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE PRESENT ORDINANCE. MR. BOWEN STATED THAT IN NIS <br />OPINION IT WAS NOW A QUESTION OF WHETHER OR NOT THE KEEPING OF HOGS SHOULD BE <br />PERMITTED IN THE CITY. AFTER MUCH DISCUSSION ON THIS MATTER, AN ORDINANCE <br />ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 5 OF CHAPTER 3 OF THE <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY CODE OF 1945/ ENTITLED 'KEEPING HOGS IN CITY' ", WAS <br />OFFERED BY MR, TEBELL, SECONDED BY I"IR. FORGES, AND CARRIED OVER TO THE NEXT <br />MEETING FOR CONSIDERATION. <br />AN ORDINANCE " AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY CODE OF 1p45 <br />BY THE A~D1Ti0N THERETO OF A NEW SECTION NUMBER 3 RELATING TO AN INTERRUPTIBLE <br />GAS RATE~.FOR COMf~IERCiAL AND {NDUSTRIAL USES", was OFFERED By MR.
