12
Mr. William Gentry, owner of two properties on North Berkshire, said that the
process used to approve the diverter was flawed. He said he was invited to only two
meetings and never voted even though the record showed that he did. He said the
diverter was the result of an imagined problem that has not yet been realized. He said
there are more pressing problems than the diverter. He suggested adding a stop light at
that location. He said Council should wait and see what happens.

Mr. Daniel Bluestone, 501 Park Hill, said he agrees with statements about
slowing down on the Meadowcreek Parkway. He said we seem to be gong headlong into
the process, and we should wait and see the interchange design and land acquisition for
an eastern connector. He said the benefits of the Parkway are more on the County side.
He asked what is the rush.

Mr. Carl Matthews, 1619 Inglewood Drive, said the diverter just moves the
problem to roads that are less suited for traffic. He said this is not a good example of
City/County cooperation. He said traffic calming is needed instead.

CONSENT AGENDA

Dr. Brown removed the special permit for the Ix Building and Juvenile and
Domestic Relations Court action from the consent agenda.

Mr. Caravati removed the ordinance expanding the Downtown and North
Downtown design control district from the consent agenda.
On motion by Mr. Lynch, seconded by Ms. Hamilton, the following consent
agenda items were approved by the following vote.
