5 <br />WHEREAS <br />, this City Council finds and determines that granting the Special Use <br />Permit would be consistent with City Code §34-420 and the criteria generally applicable <br />to special use permits under Chapter 34 of the City Code; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED <br /> by the Charlottesville City Council that The <br /> <br />International School of Charlottesville is hereby granted a special use permit <br />to allow operation of a day care center at 830 Monticello Avenue, subject to <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. There shall be no more than fifty (50) children enrolled in the <br />International School of Charlottesville, without amendment of the <br />Special Use Permit hereby granted. <br />2. The school shall only be operated between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to <br />7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />k. : Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , hazard mitigation is sustained action taken to reduce or eliminate <br />the risk to human life and property from natural hazards and their effects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , it is essential to protect life and property by reducing the potential <br />for future damages and economic losses resulting from natural disasters; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 provides new and revitalized <br />approaches to mitigation planning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , compliance with the new mitigation plan requirements will position <br />the City of Charlottesville and the region to receive pre- and post-disaster mitigation <br />funding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the City of Charlottesville has been involved in the preparation of <br />the Regional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan, including review, and public hearings and <br />approval by both the Charlottesville Planning Commission and City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the City of Charlottesville approved the Hazard Mitigation Plan for <br />submission to the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) and the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , VDEM and FEMA have deemed the submitted plan satisfactory <br />with no changes in the mitigation activities for the City of Charlottesville; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED <br /> , the Charlottesville City Council <br />does hereby adopt the Regional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE <br />l. : “AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING A <br /> SCHEDULE OF FEES PURSUANT TO CITY CODE 34-10 (a) APPLICABLE TO <br /> VARIOUS SERVICES AND FUNCTIONS ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY’S <br /> DEPARTMENT OF NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT SERVICES, RELATED <br /> TO APPLICATIONS, PETITIONS, INSPECTIONS, PERMITS AND APPROVALS <br /> REQUIRED BY THE CITY’S ZONING ORDINANCE, SUBDIVISION <br /> ORDINANCE, WATER PROTECTION ORDINANCE, AND ORDINANCES <br /> RELATING TO THE USE AND OCCUPANCY OF CITY STREETS AND <br />nd <br /> RIGHTS-OF-WAY) (2 reading) <br /> <br />ORDINANCE <br />m. : “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REORDAINING <br /> CHAPTER 29 (SUBDIVISIONS) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1990, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO A SCHEDULE OF <br /> FEES REQUIRED BY THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE” (carried over) <br /> <br />ORDINANCE <br />n. : “AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br /> <br />
