<br />A MEETING OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CHARLDTTESYILLE WAS HELD
<br />IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBER AT THE CITY HALL AT 2:00 O~CLOCK P. M., E. S. T. ON THE
<br />8TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1958 PURSUANT TO A CALL BY THE CHAIRMAN, FOR THE PURPOSE
<br />OF RECEIVING AND CONSIDERING SEALED BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF $1,200,000.00
<br />CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES OF 1957, WITH THE
<br />FOLLOWING MEMBERS PRESENT: MR. COLEMAN, MR. MICHIE AND MR. WEINBERG,
<br />THE CHAIRMAN, MR. WEINBERG, PRESIDED, AND MR. JAS. E. $OWEN, JR., CITY
<br />MANAGER, WAS DESIGNATED TO ACT AS SECRETARY OF THE MEETING.
<br />A COPY OF THE NOTICE OF $OND SALE OF $1,200,000.00 CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE
<br />SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES OF 1957 WAS PRESENTED. THE CHAIRMAN STATED
<br />THAT THIS NOTICE OF SALE HAD BEEN PUBLISHED IN THE BOND BUYER ON DECEMBER 3O,
<br />1957, AND HAD BEEN MAILED TO INTERESTED BOND HOUSES. THE CHAIRMAN DIRECTED
<br />THE SECRETARY TO OPEN AND READ ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO 2:00 O~CLOCK P. M.,
<br />E. S. T., AND TO RECORD THE SAME. THE FOLLOWING BIDS WERE RECEIVED:
