She said the City should now allow the Meadowcreek Parkway to be built until <br />the County proves its intention to build the Eastern Connector. She supported having the <br />least footprint possible with no roundabouts for the interchange. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Mr. Taliaferro said that the 911 Center is developing a new process in order to <br />give priority to 911 calls to the police which will help them be able to process calls <br />quicker. <br /> <br /> Mr. O’Connell said that staff feel it is a good time to reopen Crow Pool with the <br />recent easing of drought conditions. He said the plan is to open the pool on Monday. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Lynch, seconded by Mr. Taliaferro, Council authorized the <br />reopening of Crow Pool by the following vote. Ayes: Dr. Brown, Mr. Lynch, Mr. <br />Norris, Mr. Taliaferro. Noes: Ms. Hamilton. <br /> <br /> Mr. Norris said he would like to have an analysis done of the impact of the <br />County allowing some watering to see if the City can allow the same. <br /> <br /> Mr. O’Connell said that Council heard from business owners on West Main Street <br />th <br />about the compromise for the West Main and 8 Street interchange, and said that unless <br />he hears otherwise from Council, staff will move to implement the compromise solution. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hamilton said she spoke with Mr. Gaines and he was aware Council would <br />be discussing the intersection.
