<br />NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY COUNCIL WILL BE <br />HELD ON Monday, January 14, 2008 AT 5:00 p.m. IN THE Basement Conference <br />Room. <br /> <br />THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Interviews: Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br /> (Interviews will be open to the public for observation only) <br /> Closed session as provide by Section 2.2-3712 of the Virginia Code <br /> <br />BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR BY Jeanne Cox <br /> <br />BASEMENT CONFERENCE ROOM – January 14, 2008 <br /> <br /> Council met in special session on this date with the following members present: <br />Dr. Brown, Ms. Edwards, Mr. Huja, Mr. Norris, Mr. Taliaferro. <br /> <br /> Council interviewed the following applicants for the Charlottesville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority: Diane McNeal, Chad Thorne, Wende Marshall, <br />Karen Waters, Robert Stevens, and Wade Tremblay. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Taliaferro, seconded by Mr. Huja, Council voted to meet in <br />closed session for discussion and consideration of appointments to the Charlottesville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority as authorized by Section 2.2-3711(A)(1) of the <br />Virginia Code. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Edwards, seconded by Dr. Brown, Council certified by the <br />following vote (Ayes: Dr. Brown, Ms. Edwards, Mr. Huja, Mr. Norris, Mr. Taliaferro. <br />Noes: None) that to the best of each Council Member's knowledge, only public business <br />matters lawfully exempted from the open meeting requirements of the Virginia Freedom <br />of Information Act and identified in the motion convening the closed session were heard, <br />discussed or considered in the closed session. <br /> <br /> The meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />______________________________ ______________________________ <br />President Clerk <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
