He said the money was approved, but the idea of a dedicated fund was not. He <br />said the proposed ordinance has more flexibility, and dedicates 2 cents on the tax rate and <br />25% of lodging taxes for affordable housing. He said Council will decide priorities. He <br />said this will actually result in a 20% decrease next year. He said it will elevate the <br />priority of affordable housing in the budget, and noted that is the point. He said if <br />Council decides the amount is too big in the future or the goals have been met, the <br />amount can be changed. He said several local surveys have shown affordable housing to <br />be a top priority. In response to concerns he has heard about not being comfortable <br /> <br />
