3 <br />said there is a tremendous volume to dredge and a lot of cost to it. He said he thinks the <br />City and County took a thorough look at dredging. <br /> <br />th <br />Mr. Huja said he shares some of the concerns regarding opening 4 Street to two- <br />way traffic, and said we should look further at the issue. He noted that Council will hold <br />a work session on the water plan on May 6. <br /> <br />Mr. Taliaferro said he hopes we will have a lot more information on dredging <br />before we hold the water work session. <br /> <br />Ms. Edwards said the water supply work session will be an opportunity to get all <br />the information out so we can see what our options are. She expressed concern about the <br />th <br />options for emergency vehicles and avoiding trains if 4 Street is not open to two-way <br />traffic. She noted that the assessment on her house went up, and she asked for more <br />information on how assessments are done. She thanked Mr. Berman for bringing up the <br />issue of a portapotty at McGuffey Park. <br /> <br />Mr. Norris said he agrees with the comments made by Councilors about the water <br />supply and portapotties. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Brown, seconded by Mr. Taliaferro, the following consent <br />agenda items were approved by the following vote. Ayes: Dr. Brown, Ms. Edwards <br />(except for approval of the minutes of March 17 and 18), Mr. Huja, Mr. Norris, Mr. <br />Taliaferro. Noes: None. Abstaining: Ms. Edwards on approval of the minutes for <br />March 17 and 18. <br /> <br />a. Minutes of March 6, 13, 15, 17 and 18 <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION <br />b. : $14,888 – Contribution from Albemarle Co. for <br />nd <br /> Therapeutic Recreation (2 reading) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, Albemarle County has made a contribution the amount of $14,888 <br />towards the City’s Therapeutic Recreation VSA Program. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED <br /> by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that $14,888 is appropriated in the following manner: <br /> <br />Revenue - $14,888 <br /> <br />Fund: 105 Internal Order: 1800015 G/L Account: <br />432030 <br /> <br />Expenditures - $14,888 <br />Fund: 105 Internal Order: 1800015 G/L Account: <br />599999 <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED <br /> , that this appropriation is conditioned upon the <br />receipt of $14,888 from Albemarle County. <br /> <br />nd <br />APPROPRIATION <br />c. : $54,466.66 – Fire Department Grant (2 reading) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the Virginia State Police National Institute of Justice has sent to the <br />City of Charlottesville a reimbursement of funds spent by the Fire Department in support <br />of the Emergency Management Mapping Application (EMMA) program in the amount of <br />$54,466.66. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED <br /> by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that a total of $54,466.66 is hereby appropriated in the <br />following manner: <br /> <br />Revenues <br /> <br />
