Building <br /> Improvements (carried over) <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION <br />e. : $7,500 – Center for Watershed Protection Grant <br /> (carried over) <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION <br />f. : $106,035 – Intelligent Transportation System Grant <br /> (carried over) <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION <br />g. : $73,984 – Rivanna River Basin Commission Grant <br /> (carried over) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> : Approval of Memorandum of Understanding <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED <br />by the Council for the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that <br />the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the following document, in form <br />approved by the City Attorney: <br /> <br />Memorandum of Understanding between the City and the <br />Rivanna River Basin Commission stating the obligations <br />and responsibilities of each party in the administration of <br />the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation grant of <br />$725,000 entitled “Pulling Together: A Watershed <br />Approach for the Rivanna”. <br /> <br /> A copy of said document shall be on file in the Office of the Clerk of <br />Council. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />h. : Lease-Purchase of Police Vehicles <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Findings and Determinations. The Council (the “Council”) of the <br />City of Charlottesville, Virginia (the “Council”) hereby finds and determines as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) The City has entered into an agreement to purchase nine police cruisers <br />and related equipment for an aggregate purchase price of not to exceed $255,400, to be <br />financed from moneys to be advanced to the City by SunTrust Bank under an Equipment <br />Lease Purchase Agreement (the “Equipment Lease Purchase Agreement”) by and <br />between SunTrust Bank, as Lessor, and the City, as Lessee. <br /> <br /> (b) The Council has determined to approve the form of the Equipment Lease <br />Purchase Agreement and the terms, conditions and provisions of the Equipment Lease <br />Purchase Agreement and to authorize the execution and delivery of the Equipment Lease <br />Purchase Agreement for the purpose of financing the purchase price of the equipment <br />described in Section 1(a). <br /> <br />
