Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever.

PUBLIC

Mr. Stanley Johnson, 1060 Holmes Avenue, thanked Rev. Edwards and Mr. Toscano
for their kind responses to his recent concerns about annual trash stickers. Mr. Johnson said
that during the week of the major snow storm his trash was not picked up, and he was told by
City officials that even though he has an annual trash sticker, he would have to purchase an
individual trash sticker rather than being able to put out two cans the next week. Mr.
Johnson said this is an unfair situation for people who purchase the annual stickers.

Mr. O'Connell replied the City will need to try to be more flexible in the future in these
situations.

Ms. Klm Berry, 720 Yorkshire Road, said she feels there are times when national
situations should be addressed on the local level, and cited the recent torching of black
churches in the south. Ms. Berry asked that Council endorse a city and county-wide fund
raising campaign to help.

Mr. Henry Silva said that the Southern Christian Leadership Conference will be
collecting donations for the black church fund of Alabama and Mississippi.

Mr. Toscano asked Ms. Berry to leave information for Council's consideration, and
agreed that racism and violence will not be tolerated.

Mr. Toscano announced that the rezoning of Dice Street was removed from the
agenda.
