Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. Dominick Gill, representing the University of Virginia Student Council, requested <br />that Council adopt a resolution proclaiming the week of April 13th as "Sharing <br />Charlottesville" week. <br /> <br /> On motion by Rev. Edwards, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the resolution proclaiming <br />"Sharing Charlottesville" week was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville includes within its community the citizens of <br />Charlottesville and the students of the University of Virginia; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, those citizens and students share many common concerns, needs, and <br />goals; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, those citizens and students believe that a healthy relationship between <br />them is vital to creating an overall harmony in the Charlottesville area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the entire community would benefit from the setting aside of a week to <br />concentrate its efforts toward promoting interaction and understanding among its members; <br /> <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the time period of April 13th through April <br />20th be set aside for this purpose and be called "Sharing Charlottesville," and <br /> <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council and the University of <br />Virginia Student Council pledge themselves to the maintenance of goodwill and <br />understanding between the two communities. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> Approval of the April 1 st minutes was deferred, and the ordinance regarding marquee <br />signs was removed from the consent agenda. <br /> <br /> On motion by Rev.
