Mr. Johnson asked <br />Council tO investigate the matter. <br /> <br />Ms. Slaughter said the City will make inquiries into the matter. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> Mr. O'Conne!! removed the Fire Station Location Study appropriation from the consent <br />agenda. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Daugherty, seconded by Ms. Richards, the following consent agenda <br />items were unanimously approved, with the minutes of September 3rd amended by Ms. <br />Slaughter and Mr. Toscano. <br /> <br />a. Minutes of September 3, 5 and 9 <br /> <br />b. APPROPRIATION: $4,226 - State Entitlement - Charlottesville-Albemarle <br /> Children and Youth Commission (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Charlottesville/Albemarle Children & Youth (CACY) Commission, <br />has been approved for additional funding from the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice in <br />the amount of $4,226 for fiscal year 1996-97, resulting in a total budget appropriation of <br />$104,849.00; now, therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the <br />budget appropriation for CACY is hereby increased by $4,226.00, conditioned upon receipt <br />of $4,226 from the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice. <br /> <br />c. APPROPRIATION: $11,000 - West Main Street Trolley (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Cit-3, of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the <br />sum of $11,000.00 is hereby appropriated to fund a pilot project of trolley bus service for <br />two months between the University of Virginia and downtown Charlottesville. The cost of <br />this service is to be equally shared by the City, the University of Virginia, and D & R <br />Corporation, owners of the Regal Cinema on the downtown mall. This appropriation is <br />conditioned upon receipt of $3,666.66 from the University of Virginia, and $3,666.66 from D <br />& R Corporation, to be combined with the City's payment of $3,666.68 funded from the <br />unappropriated balance of the General Fund, for a total appropriation of $11,000. <br /> <br />d.
