221 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that staffis <br />hereby directed to hire a consultant to study the feasibility of allowing two-way traffic on <br />Market Street, at a cost of $8,575.00 to be taken from the Council Reserve in the General <br />Fund. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br />There were no matters by the Public. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Ms. Slaughter said that the second reading of the West Main Street design control <br />district will be delayed until January 21 st since Mr. Cox will be on vacation for the January <br />6th meeting. <br /> <br /> Ms. Richards expressed concern about delaying the vote on the district which could <br />affect the guidelines. <br /> <br /> Ms. Slaughter said that the BAR can be asked to move forward as soon as possible, and <br />she said she would convey this to them. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cox said that the forum on reversion held on December 7th sponsored by the <br />African American Summit Committee and the local NAACPs brought out concerns that have <br />not otherwise been heard. Mr. Cox said he would like to see the City facilitate others to have <br />such forums.
