150 <br /> <br /> Tentative agreement was given to pro,,4ding an additional $?g~ Mr the Planning ~s~rict <br />Commission legislative aide. <br /> <br /> The~meeting was a_djoutmed. <br />President <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER - April 3, 1995 <br /> <br /> Council met in re~mlar session on this date with the following members present: Ms. <br />Daugherty, Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Ms. Elizabeth Petrifi, a freelance researcher, asked for Council's assistance in increasing <br />the hours 'that the Circuit Court records are available to the public, noting that the time has <br />been restricted to no more than 2 hours a day for nine months. <br /> <br /> Mr. Toscano stated that staff have an alternate suggestion to make to the Clerk of the <br />Circuit Court to increase the time the records are available to be discussed when the Clerk <br />returns from out of town on Monday. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lance Hedrick, of the Community RelatiOns Committee of the U. Va. Student <br />Council, presented Council with a resolution designating Sharing Charlottesville Week. <br /> <br /> On motion by Rev. Edwards, seconded by Ms. Daugherty, the resOlution regarding <br />Sharing Charlottesville Week was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms. Slaughter, the following consent agenda <br />items were hhanimously approved: <br /> <br />a. APPROPRIATION: $13,373 - $2 for Life Funds (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum <br />of $13,373.00, received in the City's General Fund as revenue from the Virginia Department <br />of Health's "$2 for Life" program, is hereby appropriated to the following General Fund <br />expenditure accounts for use by the following agencies: <br /> <br />05-301-061040 <br />05-260-042016 <br /> <br />Thomas Jefferson Emergency <br /> Medical Services <br /> Charlottesville Fire Department <br /> <br />$ 6,686.50 <br /> <br />$ 6,686.50 <br /> <br />$13,373.00 <br /> <br /> Said funds shall be used for the purposes of training and equipment purchases in <br />accordance with the guidelines of the $2 for Life program. <br /> <br />b. RESOLUTION: Approving sidewalk cafe for Baggby's <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, LaPanta Enterprises, Inc., d/b/a Baggby's Gourmet Sandwiches, has <br />applied to City Council for a permit to operate an outdoor cafe on the pedestrian mall at 512 <br />East Main Street in connection with the operation of its duly licensed restaurant (Baggby's); <br />and <br /> <br /> <br />
