Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano. Absent: Mr. Vandever. Councilors met informally with the School Board in Walker School's technology laboratory and reviewed the school's communication technology. THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS: Work Session: Comprehensive Plan BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR BY Jeanne Cox (signed) BASEMENT CONFERENCE ROOM - May 10, 1995 WORK SESSION: COMPREHENSIVE PLAN Council met in special session on this date with the following members present: Ms. Daugherty, Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano. In section II-8,//2, Mr. Toscano recommended that language be added to make the recommendation consistent with the West Main Task Force report and West Main Street Corridor study and Ms. Slaughter recommended strengthening the language to the University "facilitating" the building of residential college(s) rather than explore; the scope of the Three Party Agreement was expanded in #3; and undergraduate housing was added to #4. In section I1-22, #lb, Mr. Toscano added private development of Pen park land with emphasis on middle income housing. Ms. Slaughter expressed concern about the proposal to change multi-family designation north of Fifeville to commercial, noting that she has heard little discussion about the issue. Rev. Edwards left the meeting.
