THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS: Executive session as provided by Section 2.1-344(a) of the Virginia Code BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR BY Jeanne Cox (signed) SECOND FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM - October 27, 1995 Council met in special session on this date with the following members present: Ms. Daugherty, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever. Absent: Rev. Edwards On motion by Ms. Slaughter, seconded by Ms. Daugherty, Council voted to meet in executive session for the purpose of discussion of a personnel matter, as authorized by Section 2.1-344(A)(1) of the Virginia Code, and for the purpose of consultation with legal counsel and briefings by staff members, consultants or attorneys, pertaining to probable litigation, or other specific legal matters requiring the provision of legal advice by counsel, as authorized by Section 2.1-344(A)(7) of the Virginia Code, with Re,,,. Edwards absent for the meeting. Council reconvened in open session and, on motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms. Slaughter, certified that, to the best of each member's knowledge, (i) only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by Virginia law were discussed in the executive meeting to which this certification resolution applies, and (ii) only such public business matters as were identified in the motion convening the executive meeting were heard, discussed or considered by the Council, with Rev.
