38 <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> Mr. Toscano removed the "You've Got a Friend" Proclamation and appropriation to <br />the Charlottesville Industrial Development Authority from the consent agenda. <br /> <br /> Responding to a question from Mr. Kevin Lynch, Ms. Linda Peacock, Budget <br />Administrator, stated that the Comprehensive Services Trust Fund appropriation would fund <br />the second year of three programs: Family-Focused Child Aides, Respite Care Alliance and <br />Family Partnership, to be administered by Region Ten Community Serdces and Children, <br />Youth and Family Services. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms. Daugherty, the following consent <br />agenda items were approved, with Rev. Edwards and Ms. Slaughter absent for the vote, with <br />the minutes of August 15th corrected by Ms. Daugherty: <br /> <br />a. Minutes of July 13 and August 1 and 15 <br /> <br />b. APPROPRIATION: $263,531 - Comprehensive Services Trust Fund <br /> (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the <br />sum of $263,531.00, to be received as a grant from the Commonwealth of Virginia <br />(Comprehensive Services for Youth and Families), is hereby appropriated to expenditure <br />account 11-161-062312 in the amount of $130,142, and to expenditure account <br />11-161-062311 in the amount of $133,389, to be expended for continuing the Community <br />Services Grant and the Early Intervention Grant, respectively for children and their families. <br />Additionally, $26,245 is hereby transferred from account 15-161-065000 to expenditure <br />account 11-161-062311 as the City's local match for the Early Intervention grant. <br /> <br /> This appropriation is conditioned upon receipt of $211,042.00 from the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia, and $26,244.00 in matching funds from the County of Albemarle <br />(to be taken from the Comprehensive Services Pool Fund). <br /> <br />c. APPROPRIATION: $132,039 - Intensified Drug Enforcemem Assistance <br /> Program Grant (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by t he Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the <br />sum of $132,039.00 is hereby appropriated to expenditure account 11-270-041142 for the <br />purpose of funding an enhanced drug enforcement program. Such appropriation shall be <br />conditioned upon receipt of $132,039.00 from the Department of Criminal Justice Services, <br />and $6,949.00 from account 05-70-04t 110 as the City's local match, for a total appropriation <br />of $138,988.00. <br /> <br />d.
