Now
that JAUNT has dispatch capabilities, Mr. Vandever stated that he thought the money would
be better utilized by putting it into a pool to be drawn on by JAUNT, perhaps even charging
higher fares for those hours if allowed. Mr. Vandever stated that this would build on the
three-year grant JAUNT current has.

Ms. Poore stated that eliminating the User-Side Subsidy might eliminate people's ability
for spontaneous travel, but Mr. Vandever stated that he thought using JAUNT would be
almost spontaneous.

Mr. Toscano recommended approving Mr. Vandever's proposal during the budget
process.

The meeting was adjo}~trned.
President

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON Wednesday, September
14, 1994 AT 12:00 noon IN THE Basement Conference Room.

THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS:

Luncheon meeting with School Board

BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR

BY Jeanne Cox (signed)

BASEMENT CONFERENCE ROOM - September 14, 1994

Council met in special session on this date with the following members present: Ms.
Daugherty, Rev.
