96 <br /> <br /> COUNCIL CHAMBER - December 5, 1994 <br /> <br /> Council met in regular session on this date with the following members present: Ms. <br />Daugherty, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever. Absent: Rev. Edwards. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. Jeremy Webber, 1060 Highland Drive, speaking on behalf of area skateboarders, <br />presented Councilors with a skateboard, and thanked them for allowing skateboarding on the <br />downtown mall and for looking into the possibility of having a skateboarding parkl <br /> <br /> Mr. Douglas Gilpin and Mr. Jack Rinehart recognized Mr. Satyendra Huja, Director of <br />Community Development, for his recent award fi.om the Virginia Society of the American <br />Institute of Architects. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sergio Castio, owner of a business on the downtown mall, urged Council to adopt <br />regulations for vendors to prevent existing businesses from going out of business. <br /> <br /> Mrl Maurice Cox, Ridge Street, announce the formation of the Ridge Street <br />Neighborhood Association. Mr. Cox also requested that the Ridge Street neighborhood be <br />designated a target neighborhood for CDBG funding for: funding for expansion of <br />neighborhood association actMties; housing; economic development activities and improved <br />relationship with the City; and training opportunities. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Slaughter, seconded by Ms. Daugherty, the following consent <br />agenda items were approved, with the minutes amended by Ms. Daugherty and Ms. <br />Slaughter. <br /> <br />a. Minutes of October 12, 24, November 9 and 21 <br /> <br />b. APPROPRIATION: 'fear End Adjustments (2nd reading) <br /> <br />MAKING ADJUSTMENTS TO CERTAIN ACCOUNTS OF <br />THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED <br /> JUNE 30, 1994 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the <br />actions hereinafter set forth are hereby authorized with respect to the accounts of the City <br />listed herein; for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1994. <br /> <br />I.
