Ms. Peacock stated that other information <br />requested by Council would be provided at a later date. <br /> <br /> Rev. Edwards asked for more information about the utility <br />tax applied to City and County gas bills. <br /> <br /> Responding to a question from Mr. Vandever, Ms. Peacock <br />stated that staff are proposing an increase in the building <br />permit fee structure to bring it more in line with the charges <br />in Albemarle County. <br /> <br /> Responding to a question from Ms. Daugherty, Mr. Hendrix <br />stated that the Fire Chief has expressed concern that the <br />department,s manning levels could affect their score when the <br />department is regraded which could increase insurance <br />premiums, especially for commercial properties. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gary O'Conne!l, Deputy City Manager, noted that other <br />components of the fire department will be taken into account <br />during the regrading and ithe department's score could actually <br />improve. <br /> <br /> Responding to a question from Ms. Daugherty, Ms. Peacock <br />stated that there are 12 full-time Community Service Officers <br />(CSOs) in the budget next year in addition to 6 part-time <br />CSOs. <br /> <br /> Responding to a question from Mr. Vandever, Ms. Peacock <br />estimated cigarette tax revenues next year to be <br />approximately $675,000. <br /> <br /> Regarding employee performance evaluations, Mr. Hendrix <br /> explained that individual departments developed their own <br />evaluations based on a core of uniform questions.
