100 <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $121,984 - METROPOLITANPLANNING ORGANIZATION <br />(2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $121,984 appropriation for the Metropolitan Planning <br />Organization which was offered at the March 2nd meeting was <br />approved by the following vote. Ayes: Rev. Edwards, Ms. <br />Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. Noes: <br />None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $121,984 is hereby <br />appropriated to expenditure account 11-042-053050 in the <br />Grants Fund for planning activities, including <br />administration, long range planning, map of study area, <br />southern City neighborhood study, downtown transfer facility <br />study, TAZ map preparation, transit services marketing and <br />printing bike maps outlined in the Unified Planning Work <br />Program. Such activities shall be conducted by the City <br />under a contract pursuant to a Section 112 planning and <br />programming grant received by the Thomas Jefferson Planning <br />District Commission from the Federal Highway Administration <br />(FHWA), the Urban Mass Transportation Administration (UMTA), <br />and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). <br /> <br /> This appropriation is conditioned upon receipt by the <br />City.of $48,497 from the Federal Highway Administration, <br />$26,000 from the Urban Mass Transportation Administration, <br />and $7,529 from the Virginia Department of Transportation, <br />for a total of $82,026ifrom the pass-through agency, Thomas <br />Jefferson Planning District Commission, and $32,429 from the <br />County of Albemarle. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City,s matching share of <br />$7,529 is hereby appropriated to account Code 05-302-131032 <br />from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund for <br />transfer to the Grants Fund. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $12,272.16 - "$2 FOR LIFE" FUNDS (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $12,-272.16 appropriation of the "$2 for Life" <br />funds which was offered at the March 2nd meeting was approved <br />by-the following vote. Ayes: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, <br />Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $12,272.16, <br />received in the City's General Fund as revenue from the <br />Virginia Department of Health's "$2 for Life". program, is <br />hereby appropriated to the following General Fund expenditure <br />accounts for use by the following agencies: <br /> <br />05-301-061040 <br />05-260-042016 <br /> <br />Thomas Jefferson Emergency <br />Medical Services <br />Charlottesville Fire Department <br /> <br />6,136.08 <br />6,136.08 <br /> <br />$12,272.16 <br /> <br /> Said funds shall be used for the purposes of training <br />and equipment purchases in accordance with the guidelines of <br />the $2 for Life program. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $39,056.70 - DRUG SEIZURE ASSETS (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $39,056.70 appropriation of the drug seizure assets <br />which was offered at the March 2nd meeting was approved by. <br />the following vote. Ayes: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. <br />Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Potice Department of the City of <br />Charlottesville has received $38,972.93, representing money <br />obtained from the sale of assets lawfully seized by the City <br />Police Department from persons subsequently convicted of drug <br />related crimes; and <br /> <br /> <br />
