120 <br /> <br /> NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON Friday, <br />April 10, 1992 AT 8:30 a.m. IN THE Council Chamber. <br /> <br />THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE: ANNUAL TAX LEVY (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE: ANNUAL APPROPRIATION (2nd reading) <br /> <br />BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR BY Jeanne Cox (signed). <br /> <br /> COUNCIL CHk~BER - April t0, 1992 <br /> <br /> Council met in special session on this date with the <br />following members present: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. <br />Toscano, Ms. Waters. Absent: Mr. Vandever. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: ANNUAL APPROPRIATION (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> Ms. Waters made a motion to amend the budget to <br />appropriate an additional $6,827 to the Sexual Assault <br />Resource Agency (SARA) on the condition that if the City <br />Schools fund the CAP program then the City funds can be used <br />for client services, but if the Schools do not fund the CAP <br />program $6,350 of the additional funds must be used to fund <br />the CAP program. Mr. Toscano seconded the motion and the <br />budget was unanimously amended, with Mr. Vandever absent for <br />the vote. <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE BUDGET <br />FOR THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING <br />JULY 1, 1992, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1993 AND PROVIDING FOR THE <br />ANNUAL APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR," which <br />was offered at the April 6th meeting, as amended, was <br />approved by the following vote. Ayes: Rev. Edwards, Ms. <br />Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Ms. Waters. Noes: None. Absent: <br />Mr. Vandever. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: ANNUAL TAX LEVY (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH THE <br />ANNUAL TAX LEVY ON VARIOUS CLASSES OF PROPERTY FOR THE <br />PAYMENT OF INTEREST AND RETIREMENT OF THE CITY DEBT, FOR THE <br />SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT AND CITY SCHOOLS, AND FOR <br />OTHER PUBLIC PURPOSES," which was offered at the April 6th <br />meeting, was approved by the following vote. Ayes: Rev. <br />Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Ms. Waters. Noes: <br />None. Absent: Mr. Vandever. <br /> <br /> Rev.
