APPROPRIATION: <br />(carried over) <br /> <br />$10,000 - West Main Street Study <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: AMENDING OPTION AGREEMENT FOR SALE OF PROPERTY ON <br />SHAMROCK ROAD TO CHARLOTTESVILLE HOUSING FOUNDATION FOR AIDS <br />SUPPORT GROUP HOME <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix explained that the AIDS Support Group was <br />requesting that its option agreement with the City for sale <br />of property on Shamrock Road be amended to extend the <br />option until October of 1993; reduce the sales prices; and <br />allow the group home to be build on different parcels of <br />land than originally requested. Mr. Hendrix added that in <br />addition to amending the option agreement the AIDS Support <br />Group has requested that tax exempt status be granted for the <br />group home. <br /> <br /> Mr. Vandever noted that HUD requires that the tax exempt <br />status request be made. <br /> <br /> Ms. Slaughter made a motion to postpone the matter and <br />hold a public hearing on the sale of public land and <br />reduction of the sales price at the December 21st meeting. <br />Ms. Daugherty seconded the motion and it was unanimously <br />approved by Council. <br /> <br />Mr. David Spicer of Milford, Virginia and part-owner of <br /> <br /> <br />
