106 <br /> <br />Ms. Richards thar~ked all who made presentations at the Juvenile Justice work session. <br /> <br /> Mr. O'Connell said that following a comment made at a previous Council meeting about <br />cleaning of the historic statutes, staff' further explored the issue and found that the proposed <br />cleaving methods will follow appropriate and established restoration and repair procedures. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Toscano, seconded by Ms. Daugherty, Council unanimously voted <br />to meet in executive session for the purpose of discussing appointments to boards and <br />commissions as authorized by Section 2. !-344(A)(1) of the Virginia Code, and for the <br />purpose of considering the condition, acquisition or use of rea! property for public purpose, <br />or the disposition of publicly held property, as authorized by Section 2.1-344(A)(3) of the <br />Virginia Code, more specifically described as property north of the 250 Bypass. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: BOARDS ,® COMMISSIONS <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Cox, seconded by Mr. Toscano, Council unanimously appointed Mr. <br />W. G. Clark to an unexpired term and four-year term on the Board of Architectural Review <br />(the unexpired term wilt begin immediately, and the four-year term will expire on January !, <br />2002), and appointed Mr. Joseph Ce!entano to a four-year term on the Board of <br />Architectural Review (the term will begin on January 2, 1998 and wi!! end on January 1, <br />2002). <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Daugherty, seconded by Mr. Toscano, Ms. Susan Burtbrd was <br />unanimously reappointed, and Rev. Alvin Edwards appointed to serve three-year terms on <br />the Charlottesville-Albemarle _Airport Commission. These terms will expire on December 1, <br />2000. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Toscano, seconded by Mr. Cox, Mr. William J. Kehoe was <br />unanimously appointed as the joint City-County appointee on the Charlottesville-Albemarle <br />Airport Commission and Charlottesville-Albemarle .Airport Authority. These terms will <br />expire on December !, 2000. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Richards, seconded by Mr. Toscano, Mr. Alphonse Diaz, Ms. A. <br />Susan Fogler, and Ms. Suzanne C. McDonald were unanimously appointed to the North <br />Belmont Neighborhood Task Force. <br /> <br /> Council reconvened in open session and, on motion by Mr. Toscano, seconded by Mr. <br />Cox, certified that, to the best of each member's knowledge, (i) only public business matters <br />lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by Virginia law were discussed in the <br />executive meeting to which this certification resolution applies, and (ii) only such public <br />business matters as were identified in the motion convening the executive meeting were <br />heard, discussed or considered by the Cotmci!. <br /> <br /> The meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />President 'a5/ <br /> <br /> <br />
