These terms will be <br /> effective July 1, 1989 and will expire on June 30, 1993. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: AMENDING FY 89-90 BUDGET FOR COMMUNITY EDUCATION <br />AND JUVENILE AND DOMESTIC RELATIONS COURT DEPUTY (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The appropriation amending the FY 89-90 budget fOr <br />Community Education and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court <br />Deputy which was offered at the June 5th meeting was approved <br />by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck] Mr. ToWe, Mr. <br />Vandever. Noes: None. Absent: Rev. Edwards and Ms. Waters. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of <br />Charlottesville has received a check from the U. S. <br />Department of Justice in the amount of $7,776.54, <br />representing proceeds from the sale of assets lawfully Seized <br />by the City Police Department, and cash in the amount of <br />$1,935.00, from persons-subsequently convicted of drug <br />related crimes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said funds have been deposited with the <br />Treasurer of the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the federal policies authOriZe the CitY Police <br />Department to receive and spend Such proceeds provided the <br />expenditure is on drug related law enforcement mat'ters; now, <br /> <br /> <br />
