This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption. COUNCIL CHAMBER - March 5, 1990 Council met in regular session on this date with the following members present: Mr. Buck, Rev..Edwards,-Mr.- Towe, Mr-. Vandever, Ms. Waters. MINUTES On motion by Mr. Towe, seconded by Rev. Edwards, the minutes of the February 14th meeting were approved as presented, with Mr. Vandever abstaining. On motion by Rev'. Edwards, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the minutes of the February 20th meeting were unanimously approved as presented. On motion by Rev. Edwards, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the minutes of the February 21st meeting were approved as presented, with Mr. Buck and Mr. Towe abstaining. PUBLIC Ms. Pam Barsby, representing the National Organization for Women (NOW) at the University of V-ir~gi.nia, requ~es~ed Council's endorsement of the "Take Back t-heNight" March and Rally on April 5th which has been organized -to raise community awareness about violence against women.
