288 <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $44,406 - JOINT SECURITY COMPLEX (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $44,406 appropriation for the Joint Security Complex <br />which was offered at the June 4th meeting was approved by the <br />following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Rev. Edwards, Mr. Towe, Mr. <br />Vandever, Ms~ Waters. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia,'that the sum of $44,406 is hereby <br />appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General <br />Fund to the Albemarle-Charlottesville Joint Security Complex, <br />expenditure account 05-301-043010, as the City's share of the <br />deficit incurred by the Complex during the 1988-89 fiscal <br />year. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $42,486.18 - SUMMER NUTRITION PROGRAM <br />(2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $42,486.18 appropriation for the Summer Nutrition <br />Program which was offered at the June 4th meeting was <br />approved by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Rev. <br />Edwards, Mr, Towe, Mr~Vandever, Ms. Waters. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has <br />established the Summer Food Service Program to bring about an <br />increased awareness of the critical importance of proper <br />nutrition for children and a belief that school vacation <br />should not end the~availability of nutritious meals for many <br />children; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville shares the same <br />concerns as USDA; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that a Summer Food Service Program <br />be established as part of the City of Charlottesville's <br />Summer Recreation Programs and $42,486.18 is hereby <br />appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General <br />Fund to account code 11-042-062028 in the Grants Fund for the <br />purpose of carrying out this program. Such appropriation <br />shall be conditioned upon substantial reimbursement by USDA. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />(2nd reading) <br /> <br />$2,120 - THERAPEUTIC RECREATION PROGRAM <br /> <br /> The $2,120 appropriation for the Therapeutic Recreation <br />Program which was offered at the June 4th meeting was <br />approved by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Rev. <br />Edwards, Mr. Towe, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $2,120.00 to be <br />received from the County of Albemarle as revenue to the <br />Therapeutic Recreation Program in the Parks and Recreation <br />Department, is hereby-appropriated to the follwoing General <br />Fund expenditure accounts for FY 1990-91: <br /> <br />$ 1,120.00 <br /> <br />05-172-072110-52128 <br /> <br />$ 1,000.00 <br /> <br />05-172-072110-53199 <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $422,500 - FIRE TRUCK LEASE (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $422,500 appropriation for the Fire Truck Lease <br />which was offered at the June 4th meeting was approved by the <br />following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Rev. Edwards, Mr. Towe, Mr. <br />Vandever, Ms. Waters. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council appropriated certain funds in the <br />1989-90 Capital Improvements Program for the purchase of a <br />ll0-foot aerial ladder fire truck and agreed to finance such <br />purchase throught a lease-purchase or installment loan; and <br /> <br /> <br />
