If the cafe ceases operation <br />for a period of 30 days or more prior'to Labor Day'of anY~ <br />year, Council may also considered revocation of this permit <br />upon 15~days~written notice~of~the operator~ <br /> <br /> 9.~ Approval of this permit is conditioned upon the <br /> applicant's continued compliance with the plans previOusly <br /> approved by the Downtown Board of Architectural RevieW.. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION:~ ~APPROVING PERMIT PARKING - NORTH~IST ~STREET <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that criteria have been met to <br />quality North 1st Street for permit parking. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Slaughter, seconded, by Ms. Waters, the <br />resolution~approving permit Parking for North 1st Street was <br />unanimously approved by'Council. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, certain residents of North First Street have <br />requested~that City COunCil designate North First Street <br />between High Street and the terminus of North First Street as <br />a restricted parking block; ~and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the permit parking <br />regulations, the City Traffic Engineer~has~conducted the on <br />street-parking surveys-and mailed~notice to all residents of <br />the affected area that~Council will conSider designating such <br />area as a restricted parking block; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the surveys have shown that at least 75% of the <br />total number of on street parking spaces in the proposed <br />restricted~parking block were occupied~ and at leaSt 50% of <br />the total number of on 'street parking sPaces ~in'that blOck <br />were occupied by commuter vehicl, es; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council has considered:. <br /> <br /> (a) the purpose and intent of the.permit Parking <br /> ordinance and regulations; <br /> <br />(b) - the alternate means of transportation, if any, <br /> to and from the~restricted parking block being <br /> established; <br /> <br />(c) the adverse impact that restricting ~parking in <br /> such block might have on nearby neighborhoods <br /> ~ that do not have permit parking; and <br /> <br />(d) the adverse impact that such restrictions may <br /> have on the non-residents ~of the proposed <br /> restricted parking block and their ability to <br /> find available parking near their place of <br /> work; now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> <br />Charlottesville that North First Street between High Street <br />and the terminus of North ~First Street is hereby designated a <br />restricted parking block. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: APPROVING PERMIT PARKING - PERRY DRIVE <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that criteria have ~been met %o <br /> qualify Perry Drive for permit parking. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Waters, seConded~by Mr. Vandever, the <br /> resolution approving permit parking for Perry Drive was <br /> unanimously approved by Council. ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, certain residents of Perry Drive have requested <br />that City Council designate Perry Drive between McIntire ROad <br />and Northwood Avenue/2nd Street, N~W, as-a restricted parking <br />block; and <br /> <br /> <br />
