NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON Monday, May <br />6, 1991 AT 7:15 p.m. IN THE City Manager's Office. <br /> <br />THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Executive session to discuss personnel matters as <br />exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(!) of the Virginia <br />Freedom of Information Act. <br /> <br />BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR <br /> <br />BY Jeanne Cox (signed) <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE - May 6, 1991 <br /> <br /> Council met in special session on this date with the <br />following members present: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. <br />Vandever, Ms. Waters. Absent: Mr. Toscano. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Slaughter, seconded by Ms. Waters, <br />Council voted to meet in executive session to discuss <br />personnel matters as exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the <br />Virginia Freedom of Information Act, with Mr. Vandever absent <br />for the vote and Mr. Toscano absent for the executive <br />session. <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER - May 6, 1991 <br /> <br /> Council reconvened in regular session with the following <br />members present: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, <br />Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Waters, seconded by Mr. Vandever, <br />Council certified that, to the best of each member's <br />knowledge, (i) only public business matters lawfully exempted <br />from open meeting requirements by Virginia law were discussed <br />in the executive meeting to which this certification <br />resolution applies, and (ii) only such public business <br />matters as were identified in the motion convening the <br />executive meeting were heard, discussed or considered by the <br />Council, with Mr. Toscano abstaining from the vote. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Waters, seconded by Mr. Vandever, <br />the minutes of the March 21st meeting were unanimously <br />approved as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Slaughter, seconded by Ms. Waters, the <br />minutes of the April 1st meeting were unanimously approved as <br />presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms Slaughter, <br />the minutes of the April 8th meeting were unanimously <br />approved as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Toscano, seconded by Ms. Slaughter, the <br />minutes of the April 15th meeting were unanimously approved <br />as amended. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Waters, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the <br /> minutes of the April 17th meeting were unanimously approved <br /> as presented. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> There were no matters by the public. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION: CHARLOTTESVILLE HIGH SCHOOL "CITY COUNCIL" <br /> <br /> Ms. Diane Price introduced the following seniors who had <br />been elected to serve on City Council for the Senior <br /> <br /> <br />
