WASTEWATER FUND APPROPRIATION BE IT RESOLVED by ~he Council of the City of Charlottesville, that there is hereby appropriated from the Wastewater FUnd, for the operation of the wastewater utility during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1991 and ending June 30, 1992, the sum of $3,151,078, or the amount of revenue actually received by such fund, whichever is the greater amount. ORDINANCE: AMENDING CEMETERY FEES Mr. Hendrix presented the cemetery fee structure proposal. ~ Mr. Gene German, Director of Parks and Recreation, responded to several questions on the number of burials annually and how indigent burials are. handled. On motion by Ms. Waters, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the ordinance entitled "A~N ORDINA~NCE TO AMEND_AND REORDAIN SECTIONS 7-3 AND 7-5 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1990, AS AMENDED, TO PROVIDE FOR INCREASES IN FEES-FOR THE OPERATION OF:CEMETERIES, was offered and_ carried over to the next meeting for consideration. ORDINANCE: AMENDING RETIREMENT ORDINANCE Mr. Clyde Gouldman, City AttorneY, explained the proposed inclusion of constitutional officers in_the ordinance to allow them to serve to the end of their elected term. Mr. Gouldman added that interpreting the implications of the proposed changes-in the IRS tax was difficult. On motion by Ms.~ Waters, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 19-95.1 TO CHAPTER 19 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1990, AS AMENDED, RELATED TO EARLY RETIREMENT OPTIONS" was offered and carried over to the next meeting for consideration.
