A representa tive from Dominion Power was also present. <br />This is at Virginia Dominion’s request and cost to reduce outages. <br /> <br />Ms. Smith said this movement is very pr omising, and she would like to see undergrounding <br />everywhere. The Dominion representative said undergrounding is not the answer to everything. <br />Ms. Smith asked if there is a list of problematic areas. He said the company is looking at the <br />Meadowcreek and Ivy Gardens areas because they ha ve a lot of trees. Mr. Huja said the City can <br />help with easements where possible. <br /> <br />On motion, the public hearing was opened. Ha ving no speakers, the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Ms. Galvin asked Mr. Gensic if he knows of iTree software, which calculates the monetary <br />value of trees. Mr. Gensic said we use this with our canopy analysis. <br /> <br />On motion by Ms. Smith, seconded by Ms. Szakos, the ordinance carried.
