0 <br />APPROPRIATION <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />that the sum of $16,920.00 is hereby appropriated from the <br />unappropriated balance of the General Fund to expenditure account <br />01-92390, as a contribution to the operations of Jefferson Area <br />United Transportation, Incorporated (JAUNT), a non-profit charitable <br />corporation; provided (1) that such sum shall be paid to JAUNT in <br />monthly installments as needed to offset JAUNT'S failure to receive <br />anticipated federal or state grants to cover the cost of such <br />operations, (2) that it is understood that JAUNT will refund to the <br />City any such sums for which offsetting grant funds are ultimately <br />received, and (3) that no part of the sum hereby appropriated shall <br />be used to fund JAUNT services in or to any other political sub- <br />division unless such other political subdivision agrees similarly <br />to donate its respective share of the operating expenses of JAUNT <br />during such period, with such pro -rata shares being determined by <br />the ridership figures from each such jurisdiction during the past <br />• fiscal year. <br />Copy Teste: <br />Clerk of the Counc <br />• <br />Adopted by the Council <br />July 2, 1979 <br />Amended by the Council <br />October 1, 1979 <br />
