0 <br />APPROPRIATION <br />PERINATAL NUTRITION AND EDUCATION SERVICES <br />$55,000 <br />WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia, acting through <br />and on behalf of the Thomas Jefferson Health District desires <br />to renew the contract with the City of Charlottesville to <br />hire a nutritionist and a health educator, both specialists <br />in services to women and children, to provide nutritional and <br />health care counseling to mothers in the Health District, <br />thereby improving the health status of infants; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commonwealth has agreed to reimburse the <br />City for the cost of salaries, fringe benefits and other <br />ancillary expenses for the employment of such employees, up <br />to a maximum amount of $55,000 for the 1988-1989 fiscal year; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottes- <br />ville, Virginia, that $55,000 is hereby appropriated to <br />expenditure account 11-042-061070 in the Grants Fund for the <br />costs incurred by the City pursuant to the aforesaid contract <br />• for perinatal nutrition and education services. Such <br />appropriation shall be conditioned upon reimbursement from <br />the Commonwealth of Virginia. <br />Approved by Council <br />August 1, 1988 <br />c of Council <br />• <br />
