• <br />RESOLUTION <br />Summer Nutrition Program <br />$47,011.77 <br />WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has <br />established the Summer Food Service Program to bring about an <br />increased awareness of the critical importance of proper nutrition <br />for children and a belief that school vacation should not end the <br />availability of nutritious meals for many children; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville shares the same concerns <br />as USDA; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, that a Summer Food Service Program be established as part <br />of the City of Charlottesville's Summer Recreation Programs and <br />$47,011.77 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance <br />of the General Fund to account code 11-042-062028 in the Grants <br />Fund for the purpose of carrying out this program. Such <br />appropriation shall be conditioned upon substantial reimbursement <br />to the General Fund by USDA. <br />Approved by Council <br />June 1, 1992 <br />9 / <br />'-6-er'k of City <br />
