• APPROPRIATION <br />Rugby Road Bike Lane and Sidewalk (ISTEA Project) <br />$500,000 <br />• <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville has been advised that the Virginia Department <br />of Transportation has programmed an enhancement project in the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia for the improvement of a four -foot wide bike lane and a five to six foot wide sidewalk <br />from Lambeth Lane to Wayside Place at a total cost of approximately $500,000; and <br />WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation has awarded a grant to the City <br />of Charlottesville in the amount of $400,000; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville, by resolution dated December 19, 1994, has <br />agreed to pay for twenty percent (20%), or $100,000, of the total cost for planning, design, <br />right-of-way, and construction of this project in accordance with the guidelines for ISTEA <br />funding; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council for the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum <br />of $500,000 is hereby appropriated from the Capital Improvements Fund earmarked for the <br />Rugby Road Pedestrian Bike Trail and Infrastructure Improvements in fiscal year 1995-96. <br />Approved by Council <br />August 21, 1995 <br />�rk�C�cil <br />
