• APPROPRIATION <br />TRANSPORTATION PLANNING GRANT <br />$50,000 <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum <br />of $50,000 is hereby appropriated to expenditure account 11-042-053050 in the Grants Fund for <br />planning activities, including administration, transportation planning and data development, <br />updating the Charlottesville -Albemarle Transportation Study (CATS) and intermodal/congestion <br />management planning as outlined in the Unified Transportation Planning Work Program. Such <br />activities shall be conducted by the City under a contract pursuant to a Section 112 planning and <br />programming grant received by the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission from the <br />Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Virginia Department of Transportation <br />(VDOT). <br />This appropriation is conditioned upon receipt by the City of $40,000 from the Federal <br />Highway Administration, and $5,000 from the Virginia Department of Transportation, for a total <br />of $45,000 from the pass-through agency, Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City's ten percent (10%) local match of $5,000 <br />is hereby appropriated to account code 05-302-131032 from the unappropriated balance of the <br />• General Fund for transfer to the Grants Fund. <br />Approved by Council <br />October 7, 1996 <br />lei <br />k of City Council <br />is <br />
