A RESOLUTION <br />APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR <br />• THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE'S 1996-97 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />$756,945 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville has been advised of the approval by the U.S. <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development of a Community Development Block Grant for <br />the 1996-97 fiscal year in the total amount of $713,000, which includes funds for the North <br />Belmont Neighborhood totalling $200,000; reprogrammed funds of $13,945, and program income <br />of $30,000. <br />WHEREAS, the Council has set aside $106,400 in the City's Capital Improvement <br />Program (CIP) to be used in the North Belmont Neighborhood; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has received recommendations for the expenditure of funds <br />from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Task Force, the City Planning <br />Commission and the Social Development Commission; and has conducted a public hearing <br />thereon as provided by law; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sums <br />hereinafter set forth are hereby appropriated from funds received from the aforesaid grant to the <br />following individual expenditure accounts in the Community Development Block Grant Fund for <br />• the respective purposes set forth; provided, however, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to <br />transfer funds between and among such individual accounts as circumstances may require, to the <br />extent permitted by applicable federal grant regulations. <br />ACCOUNT CODE <br />18-042-093092 <br />18-042-093089 <br />18-042-093096 <br />18-042-093097 <br />18-042-045129 <br />18-042-092102 <br />18-042-092528 <br />18-042-093091 <br />18-042-051624 <br />18-042-051625 <br />18-042-051626 <br />PURPOSE <br />Weatherization <br />Homeowner Rehab Grant/Loan Program <br />Housing Administration <br />Relocation Assistance <br />Handicapped Access <br />Community Development <br />Administration and Planning <br />Free Paint Program <br />Harris Street Sidewalk <br />Albemarle Street Drainage <br />8th St, N.W.
