• <br />APPROPRIATION <br />Water Street Parking Garage Expansion <br />$3,800,000 <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to increase parking availability in the downtown <br />mall area for commuters and visitors; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that <br />the sum of $3,800,000 is hereby appropriated to the Capital Projects Fund to the Water <br />Street Parking Garage Expansion account (26-020-122060). This appropriation is <br />conditioned upon receipt of $1,178,000 from the Charlottesville Parking Center (CPC) for <br />its share, and the transfer of $534,673 from the Strategic Investment Reserve in the <br />General Fund, with the remaining $2,087,327 to be received from the proceeds from the <br />sale of the High Street lot ($328,863), repayment of loan on Water Street Parking Garage <br />deck ($758,464), and an increase in the next bond issue ($1,000,000). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amount of $534,673 is hereby <br />reallocated and transferred from the Strategic Investment Reserve in General Fund <br />account 05-010-031040 to Capital Projects Fund account 05-301-131220. <br />Approved by Council <br />April 3, 2000 <br />1 rk of City Council <br />
