• <br />APPROPRIATION <br />Weed and Seed Network <br />$275,000 <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the <br />sum of $275,000, received from the U.S. Department of Justice is hereby appropriated <br />to account 11- 042 - 041163 to implement the Weed and Seed strategy for community <br />improvements focused on law enforcement and community policing, plus prevention, <br />intervention and treatment services. In accordance with guidelines established by the <br />U.S. Department of Justice and the Executive Office for Weed and Seed, decisions <br />regarding how the $275,000 will be spent are made by the Weed and Seed Network <br />Steering Committee, chaired by the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Virginia. <br />Fifty - thousand dollars of the $275,000 grant is hereby transferred from account 11 -042- <br />041163 to account 97- 301 - 301210 - 53199, said amount being designated by the <br />• Steering Committee for Charlottesville's Redevelopment & Housing Authority's Crime <br />Prevention Through Environmental Design Project. <br />Approved by Council <br />December 16, 2002 <br />• <br />k of City Council <br />
