• <br />• <br />• <br />APPROPRIATION <br />Weed and Seed Network <br />(Grant #2006-WS-Q6-0050) <br />$225,000 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville Weed and Seed Network has been <br />awarded $225,000 from the U.S. Department of Justice — Office of Justice Programs via <br />the Community Capacity Development Office <br />WHEREAS, the grant award covers the period from period May 1, 2006 through <br />April 30, 2007, with an option to extend for one year; and <br />WHEREAS, In accordance with guidelines established by the U.S. Department of <br />Justice and the Community Capacity Development Office, decisions regarding how the <br />$225,000 will be spent are made by the Weed and Seed Network Steering Committee, <br />chaired by the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Virginia; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $225,000, received from the U.S. Department of <br />Justice — Office of Justice Programs via the Community Capacity Development Office, <br />is hereby appropriated in the following manner: <br />Revenue — $225,000 <br />$112,070 Fund: 211 I /O: 1900075(Weed /Seed) <br />$112,930 Fund: 211 I /O: 1900074 (Police) <br />Expenditures - $225,000 <br />$112,070 to Internal Order 1900075 — Weed and Seed <br />$18,362 Fund: 211 G/L Account: 510010 <br />$7,498 Fund: 211 G/L Account: 530100 <br />G/L Account: 431110 <br />G/L Account: 431110 <br />
