• <br />• <br />• <br />RESOLUTION <br />CAHIP / CHARLOTTESVILLE HOUSING FUND <br />Allocations for FY 07 -08 <br />$850,000 from CAHIP Account <br />$2,143 from Housing Initiatives Fund <br />WHEREAS, Council has previously approved the appropriation of certain sums of <br />general fund dollars to the CAHIP account (P- 00439) within the FY 2008 capital projects fund; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, members of the Community Development Block Grant Task Force have <br />offered their recommendations for the remaining balance of CAHIP funds; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $850,000 is hereby authorized to be paid to the <br />following organizations from currently appropriated funds in the CAHIP account (P- 00439) in <br />the capital projects fund: <br />• Habitat for Humanity - $ 20,000 <br />• Albemarle Housing Improvement Program - $279,000 <br />▪ Piedmont Housing Alliance - <br />• Habitat for Humanity - <br />• Shelter for Help and Emergency (SHE) - <br />• Region Ten - <br />$200,000 <br />$ 80,000 <br />$ 35,113 <br />$235,887 <br />Provided that any funds authorized for special needs housing will only be used to benefit <br />individuals or families who are City residents, and who have lived in the City for at least one <br />year. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Region Ten will receive an additional $2,143 from <br />the Housing Initiatives Fund (P- 00126) in the capital projects fund to fulfill the remainder of the <br />recommendation for a total of $238,030. <br />Approved by Council <br />December 17, 2007 <br />of City Council <br />
