APPROPRIATION <br />• 2009 Recovery Act Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) <br />Grant # 2009 -SB -B9-1940 <br />$230,080 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville, through the Police Department, has received the <br />U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs' Bureau of Justice Assistance 2009 <br />Recovery Act Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) in the amount of $230,080 to be <br />used for the purchase of approved law training and enforcement equipment. <br />WHEREAS, the grant award covers the period from period March 1, 2009 through <br />February 28, 2013, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $230,080, received from the U.S. Department of <br />• Justice, Office of Justice Programs' Bureau of Justice Assistance, is hereby appropriated in the <br />following manner: <br />Revenue — $230,080 <br />Fund: 211 UO: 1900135 G/L Account: 431120 <br />Expenditures - $230,080 <br />Fund: 211 UO: 1900135 G/L Account: 520990 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this appropriation is conditioned upon the receipt <br />of $230,080 from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs' Bureau of Justice <br />Assistance. <br />Approved by Council <br />September 8, 2009 <br />41 CkrY of City Council <br />
