• AN ORDINANCE <br />CLOSING, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING <br />A 15 FOOT ALLEY RUNNING IN A SOUTHWESTERLY <br />DIRECTION FOR APPROXIMATELY 310 FEET <br />FROM LEE STREET <br />WHEREAS, proper notice that the Rector and Visitors of the <br />University of Virginia would make application to the City Council <br />of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, to have the hereinafter <br />described alley closed, vacated and discontinued was duly posted; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, all the owners abutting said alley have been duly <br />notified; and <br />WHEREAS, application was made to the City Council and pursuant <br />to the statutes in such cases made and provided, the Council <br />appointed viewers who have reported that no inconvenience would <br />result from such closing, vacating and discontinuance; and <br />• WHEREAS, it is the judgment of the Council that said alley <br />should be closed, vacated and discontinued, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the said alley located in <br />the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, described as follows is <br />hereby closed, vacated and discontinued as a public thoroughfare <br />of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, said alley not being <br />needed for public use and travel: <br />That certain 15 foot alley running in a southwesterly <br />direction from Lee Street for approximately 310 feet <br />and bordering along Parcels 92, 94, 95, 99, 100 and <br />101 on City Tax Map 10. <br />Adopted by the Council {" <br />Aur;ust 16, 1976 <br />r <br />Con: Teste: 4 <br />• Clerk <br />
